San Sebastián Turismo & Convention Bureau has designed the guide “Made in San Sebastian” in order to showcase San Sebastian’s stand-out, high-quality brands and businesses to visitors, in a single publication. The guide brings together local designer brands, distinctive businesses that have managed to preserve their essence and ethos over the decades, trendy establishments, boutique stores, etc. But always with that distinctive touch that is part of the essence of the character of San Sebastian; clothing, accessories and jewellery, beauty salons, opticians and artisan products with the characteristic hallmark of “San Sebastian”.

The guide “Made in San Sebastian” was created as part of the VISIT-BIZI San Sebastian Tourism Master Plan 2017-2021, whose core strategies include a commitment to boost the city’s local, stand-out, high-quality businesses and promote them to visitors.

The guide includes 68 establishments that are affiliated with SSTurismo&CB and the San Sebastian Fashion Cluster, promoted by the Department of Economic Growth, through the San Sebastian Development Dept., which seeks to reinvigorate a sector that has around 1,000 businesses in this city and directly employs 2,750 people, representing 2.63% of all employment in the city. The San Sebastian Fashion Cluster is made up of designers, training centres, fashion specialists, stores, manufacturers, institutions, etc. which see an opportunity in this sector to further the economic development of our city and create high-quality jobs.

Among the businesses included in the guide, we can find the 9 large local fashion stores, which have put San Sebastian on the map both at home and abroad– Isabel Zapardiez, Minimil, Indi and Cold, Loreak, Box San Sebastián, Casa Munoa, Amaia Txabarria, Irulea and Zergatik; exclusive and renowned firms that bring luxury to the city – Noventa Grados, Auzmendi…-; and stylish multi-brand stores with the unique hallmark of “San Sebastian” – Goiuri, Torrubia and Torrubia, Arbelaitz, Hawaii, Izadi, Ponsol, Ayestarán, Eguzkilore, Koloreka… etc.

The publication is mainly aimed at tourists and it will be published in 4 languages: Basque, Spanish, English and French.
